Nick Clegg, leader of the Liberal Democrats, surprisingly won the live TV debate. The Prime Minister and Conservative leader went into the debate friendly, but as time passed and the debate became more heated, they started attacking each other. Nick Clegg remained calm and did not choose sides. He blamed things that went wrong over the past 65 years on both his opponents. He made clear that he is a good alternative leader for the country, next to Gordon Brown and David Cameron.
The debate on tv was a good thing to happen to the leader of the Liberal Democrats. Because people saw him standing up to his opponents and people now see him in a different light. Because of the debate people look differently towards politics and things in the country will change, which may be a good thing.
